The overall design of the New York eagle is similar to the Tench Tilghman eagle. On the front center two senators present a sword to Cincinnatus. The motto reads: "OMNIA RELIQUIT SERVARE REPUBLICAM."
The reverse center features Cincinnatus with a plow. The motto on the reverse reads: "INST AD 1783 VIRT PRAEM SOCI CIN'RUM."
