The Pilgrim William White Society is a GSMD endorsed family society established in 2013. The purpose of the society is to provide a forum for members to learn about our ancestors William and Susanna Jackson White; to keep our Pilgrim heritage alive, and to promote education in our schools, communities, and other societies.
There are two types of membership.
Lineage Membership
The Pilgrim William White Society has two types of membership. The first is a lineage membership based upon an established line of descent from William and Susanna White via either one of their two sons, Resolved White or Peregrine White. Only lineage members have voting rights. If you are not already an approved member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, you will need to submit an application to that organization through one of its state chapters. Once you have proved your descent from Pilgrim William White to the satisfaction of the GSMD, you are ready to join The Pilgrim William White Society. Please print out and complete the lineage membership application, attach a copy of your approved GSMD application showing your National membership number, and mail in the fee with your application.
Friend Membership
The second type of membership is as a Friend of The Pilgrim William White Society. You may join as a Friend even though you cannot prove a blood relationship to William White. Just as an example, you may belong to a family that is associated with but not descended from William White, such as the extended family of a half-sibling or daughter-in-law. Such families very often lived in the same settlements, migrated west together and occasionally intermarried. Please print out and complete the Friend membership application and submit it along with your fee.
